Foundations Class

About this event

The Foundations class is a community with open hearts, open minds, and open doors, seeking Jesus’ guidance for our lives. Grow your roots in Christ with practical insights for how we can love God and love one another. The lessons in Foundations enhance your understanding of Scripture using prominent Christian books as a resource to engage in thoughtful discussion.

The fall teaching series begins Sunday 9/13 and will focus on prayer:

A lot of people don’t really know much about prayer. Even Jesus’ disciples had questions about it, so you’re in good company if it doesn’t come easy. There’s not really one simple answer to the question of how to pray, and finding your own way to experience awe and intimacy with God is a challenge for many. This fall in Foundations, we will be looking at the practice of prayer and providing guidance on how to make it meaningful and help deepen your relationship with God. The class is a discussion format that doesn’t require any pre-class reading, but as a guide, we will be using Timother Keller’s book Prayer. We hope you’ll join us for our discussions about this central spiritual practice. Come as you are. No preparation required.
