From Quilts to Keepsakes opens with a 45-minute presentation by RB Textile Conservation exploring expert conservation strategies and a behind-the-scenes look at the preservation of Woodlawn’s own Quaker signature quilt.
To round out your experience, attendees are invited to apply these expert techniques to their own history. Bring a small- to medium-sized personal textile and learn museum-approved handling, folding, and packing methods. You will leave with the confidence and materials to safeguard your family heirlooms for generations!
Best of all, proceeds from this workshop directly fund our next vital textile conservation project, Mary Eliza Angela Lewis Conrad’s wedding dress.
