About this event

This series gathers five of the best-known film adaptations by Andzrej Wajda, the most significant and widely recognized director to emerge from Poland after World War II. Timed to the centennial of his birth, the series demonstrates not only Wajda’s immense skill as a filmmaker but also his deep connection to Poland’s historic literature.

Organized in partnership with the Embassy of Poland, DiFactory, Janus Films, and the Andrzej Wajda Film Culture Centre. Part of the Wajda 100 Tour – North America project, organized by DiFactory with support of the Polish Film Institute. With special thanks to Hanna Sawicka and Maria Łojas-Zielińska.

Listed by CitySpark: Washington, DC, gathered by the Alexandria events calendar.
