Legacy Metros v. Brand New

About this event

Some metro systems are the descendants of separate and competing rail lines (such as in NYC) and others were built as a consolidated entity (like Washington's Metro). The difference can matter when it comes to standardization of equipment, service areas and other issues. TEDC member Michael recently returned from a tour of the British Isles, where he rode London's legacy Tube, interested in this topic. He'll share his findings and thoughts.

Also: we'll decide on our next outing! Look forward to seeing you all there. :-)

NOTE DIFFERENT DAY AND ADDRESS : Our stationary meetings are usually held on Tuesdays at the Cleveland Park Library. NEITHER IS TRUE OF THIS MEETING. Due to scheduling conflicts, it will be held on a Thursday at the DC Peers's Space, 4709 Wisconsin Ave. , NW.
