About this event

Bull Run Unitarian Universalists (BRUU) is celebrating a significant milestone: paying off the mortgage on its church building, all these years after the congregation purchased the property in 1999.

Paying off the mortgage represents more than ending a financial obligation. It is a testament to the generosity, dedication, and perseverance of the members, friends, volunteers, and leaders who have supported BRUU over the years. Their commitment has helped sustain a welcoming and active congregation and a bi-monthly Food Pantry.

BRUU invites the public to join in celebrating this historic occasion during a special Sunday service on Nov. 15, 2026, at 10 a.m. The celebration will honor the congregation’s journey, recognize the collective efforts that made this achievement possible, and look ahead to the next chapter in BRUU’s story. And there just might be a “burning of the mortgage” as well.

All are welcome! Whether you are a longtime member, a former visitor, a neighbor, or someone curious about Unitarian Universalism, you are invited to share in this meaningful moment.
