Join me for an out and back on the Bull Run Occoquan Trail from Hemlock Overlook Regional Park, followed by live blues music at Paradise Springs Winery. Paradise Springs is located across from the trailhead. Music starts at 1pm. You may bring your own food in the picnic area outdoors or on the enclosed deck, or purchase food there. They usually have a food truck on the weekends.

Poles are recommended for the rocky terrain near the river. The hills are gradual, but please make sure you are comfortable with the rocks, roots and able to maintain the 2.5-3mph pace . There is no restroom at the trailhead, so you may want to stop on the way. Look for the dirt parking area on the right side of Yates Ford Rd, across from Paradise Springs Winery. Coordinates 38.76605, -77.40652 Finding the trailhead can be difficult if you are not familiar with the area. Use 13220 Yates Ford Road, Clifton VA 20124 for Google directions. You can also plug in Paradise Springs Winery. Do not put Hemlock into your GPS as that may take you to a different parking area. If the main parking area is full, there's a smaller lot closer to the winery for about 8 cars.
