About this event
Event Description
Join us for a free 1 hour virtual workshop: Understanding 988: What It Is and How It Works
The Center for Counseling & Well-being is partnering with the nonprofit EveryMind to bring UNDERSTANDING 988: WHAT IT IS AND HOW IT WORKS to our campus community.
This workshop provides participants with a clear overview of the purpose, structure, and functionality of the 988 system. Participants will learn how the lifeline operates, including how calls, texts, and chats connect people with trained crisis counselors who provide confidential support, risk assessment, de-escalation, and connections to local resources.
