About this event
In Their Own Words: Veterans’ Stories Preserved by Yorktown Students
Join us for a 15 Minute Hands-On History exploring veterans’ oral histories written and collected by Yorktown High School history students in the 1990s. These books preserve personal accounts of military service while connecting generations through the practice of recording history. Learn about this student project and the value of preserving firsthand memories. The books will be on display for visitors to look through and explore the veterans’ stories for themselves.
