About this event
Beginner Ballet I Prerequisite: Completion of Fundamentals I and II or equivalent experience. This is a fast-paced beginner level and is not recommended for absolute or recent beginners. This class is a progression from Fundamentals II and is designed for dancers with at least two years of dedicated experience who have a solid grasp of basic terminology and positions. Students perform a full barre, focusing on the coordination of port de bras with leg movements and expanding their technical vocabulary. The curriculum shifts toward greater physical challenge, introducing one-leg balances, turns, and jumps while continuing to prioritize alignment, strength, and flexibility. This level is also appropriate for dancers returning to the art form after many years who wish to ease back into a structured practice. To ensure steady progress and technical proficiency, students are encouraged to attend two or more classes per week.
